Jenner & Block Receives Human Rights Practitioner Award from National Immigrant Justice Center

Jenner & Block received the Human Rights Practitioner Award at the National Immigrant Justice Center’s (NIJC) 27th Annual Human Rights Awards, recognition of a partnership that spans more than 20 years and has made NIJC the firm’s largest source of pro bono cases.
Partner Wade Thomson, Co-Chair of Jenner’s Business Litigation Practice and an elected member of the firm’s executive committee, accepted the honor on behalf of the firm.
"We accept this award today for work done in the past, but more importantly we accept this award today as a compact with you all to continue fighting together going forward," Wade said.
The award honors lawyers, civic leaders, and community partners who ensure immigrants and people seeking asylum have access to legal representation.
Associate Arie Feltman-Frank was also recognized with NIJC’s 2026 Rising Star Award, an accolade that honors early-career lawyers who have taken on substantial pro bono work through NIJC—whether by devoting significant time, serving a high volume of clients, or handling particularly complex cases.
Over more than 20 years, Jenner & Block has handled 67 matters and contributed nearly 4,900 hours, valued at more than $5.5 million, on behalf of immigrants navigating one of the most consequential processes of their lives. That sustained commitment is a cornerstone of the firm's pro bono reputation — reflected most recently in its No. 1 ranking nationwide and internationally on The American Lawyer's 2025 Pro Bono Scorecard, a distinction Jenner & Block has earned 11 times.
