Climate Change and Clean Technology Law

Our environmental law partners advise companies on the legal regimes enacted to address climate change and to support clean technologies.  One of our partners was a former solar power developer.  We have experience with various methods of financing renewable energy projects.

Representative matters include:

  • Representation of landowners in connection with the negotiation and documentation of wind farm leases as part of large-scale wind farm developments.
  • Representation of Westpac, as lender, with respect to the Carland Cross Wind Farm.
  • Representation of Barclays Bank plc, as lender, with respect to the Coal Clough Wind Farm.
  • Provided legal advice to a start-up clean energy company.
  • Representation of the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village in an 8.5-MW solar deal in Rwanda.
  • Representation of a publicly traded manufacturer of solar cells and concentrating photovoltaic systems for utility-scale solar applications in public securities and M&A transactions.
