Ethics and Compliance

We provide advice on the ethics and compliance issues all government contractors confront. We prepare Codes of Ethics and the related internal policies and procedures. We develop training materials and programs, and conduct ethics and compliance training: we already have “in the can” training materials on virtually all current government contract compliance issues that we tailor for clients’ particular needs.  We answer company “Helplines” and conduct follow up investigations. We know Organizational Conflicts Of Interest, and develop strategies for avoiding or mitigating them. We are adept at analyzing the “Revolving Door” limitations and cooling-off periods that apply to former government employees; sorting out potential “Procurement Integrity” issues, such as what to do when an employee receives another contractor’s proprietary data or internal government “Source Selection” information; giving practical advice on the permissibility of the payment of commissions in foreign countries; and helping with the preparation of training materials for commercial item vendors who sell goods to the federal government. Our attorneys support government contractors of all sizes and types, as well as commercial items suppliers for whom many of the applicable compliance requirements differ from accepted commercial practices.
