Mr. Griffith’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, with extensive experience defending class action lawsuits. He has litigated a wide variety of claims in both state and federal court throughout the country, including claims under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (the “TCPA”), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (the “FCRA”), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (“FDCPA”) and various states’ unfair competition laws, including California’s Business and Professions Code § 17200 and New York’s General Business Law § 349. In addition to his litigation experience, Mr. Griffith has assisted in the settlement of many nationwide class actions and defended those settlements on appeal and in parallel actions.
Mr. Griffith received his B.A., with honors, from the University of California, Berkeley and his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. While in law school, Mr. Griffith interned with the Mandel Legal Aid Clinic Employment Discrimination Project, where he helped low income clients pursue claims for race and gender discrimination.
Mr. Griffith is a member of the California Bar and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts of California, as well as the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation and the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Second, Ninth and Eleventh Circuits.
