Veronica Lopez is a staff attorney in the firm’s Litigation Department and a member of the Investigations, Compliance and Defense practice group. She joined the firm in 2012 and has worked on global compliance reviews involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, as well as investigations related to potential fraud, money laundering, and theft of intellectual property. She is fluent in Spanish and has helped conduct several investigations in Spanish for multinational clients with operations in Latin America.

Ms. Lopez received her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she served as the vice-president of the Student Bar Association and was inducted into the Chicago-Kent Bar and Gavel Society for outstanding service to the law school. Ms. Lopez received her B.A. in Political Science and Biblical Studies from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, where she helped establish the Latino Undergraduate Law Student Association.

Currently, she is a member of the Junior Board of The Chicago Lighthouse, the University of Michigan Club of Greater Chicago, and the Hispanic Lawyer’s Association of Illinois.

Prior to joining Jenner & Block, Ms. Lopez was a staff attorney with the Chicago Legal Clinic’s Mortgage Foreclosure Mediation program where she advised homeowners of their legal rights.
