Timothy J. Chorvat is a litigator who focuses in the areas of securities, class action and bankruptcy-related matters. A partner in our London and Chicago offices, Mr. Chorvat is a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales.
Mr. Chorvat has published extensively on cutting-edge litigation issues, including the preservation and use of electronically stored information. He is the immediate past chair of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Civil Practice and Procedure Section Council and serves as website co-chair of the Seventh Circuit Electronic Discovery Pilot Program Committee. He is an author of the chapters of Moore’s Federal Practice that deal with class actions and derivative actions, and has written and edited numerous publications on litigation-related topics. He also is chairing the ISBA’s Allerton Conference on law reform this spring.
Mr. Chorvat is a member of the firm’s Securities Litigation and Enforcement, Class Action, and Bankruptcy Litigation Practices and the Tenant-in-Common Workout Task Force. He recently served as Chair of the Working Group on Electronic Evidence for the American Bar Association’s Cyberspace Law Committee and is a member of the Electronic Discovery in Bankruptcy Cases Working Group of the ABA’s Committee on Bankruptcy Court Structure and the Insolvency Process.
