Theo A. Lesczynski is an associate in the Litigation Department. She focuses her practice on general commercial litigation, including trade secrets, media and First Amendment, and professional responsibility.

Ms. Lesczynski earned her BA with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received her JD from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, graduating cum laude. During law school, she served as articles editor for the Northwestern University Law Review. She was a judicial extern for the Honorable Edmond E. Chang of the Northern District of Illinois and an intern at the US Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights. Ms. Lesczynski served as a student attorney for Northwestern’s Supreme Court Clinic, where she assisted in drafting petitions for certiorari. Following law school, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable John C. Coughenour of the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington.

Before law school, Ms. Lesczynski taught US history, law and civics in Chicago Public Schools. She participated in Street Law’s Supreme Court training institute for teachers. Ms. Lesczynski maintains an active pro bono practice, representing clients in federal post-conviction and civil rights litigation matters.
