Sean Nelson is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Mr. Nelson received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2016, where he served as an editor of the Harvard Journal on Legislation.  While in law school, Mr. Nelson worked as a research assistant on First Amendment issues, and was a student attorney at Harvard’s Prison Legal Assistance Project.  He also externed at the Office of General Counsel for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Mr. Nelson graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California in 2009, receiving his B.A. in both English and Art History.  He received his M.A. in English Literature from the University of California, Irvine, in 2011.  Prior to joining Jenner & Block, he worked as a law clerk at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, Civil Division, where he assisted with civil fraud cases.

Mr. Nelson is admitted to practice in California.
