Jenner & Block

Scott M. De Nardo is a staff attorney in the firm’s Litigation Department and has extensive experience in the areas of complex litigation, employment and labor law, ERISA, and internal and government investigations.

Following his graduation from Indiana University, Bloomington’s Maurer School of Law in 2001, Mr. De Nardo relocated to San Francisco, California.  In 2002, he joined the San Francisco labor law firm Neyhart, Anderson, Flynn & Grosboll.  While employed at the Neyhart Anderson law firm, Mr. De Nardo’s time was evenly spent on complex litigation involving employment law, traditional labor law, and ERISA matters.  Mr. De Nardo was elevated to partner in 2008, but eventually left to operate his own private practice so that he could focus primarily on employment related matters.  Mr. DeNardo litigated many matters from inception through resolution in both State and Federal Courts, and has also represented clients before regulatory agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, California’s Public Employment Relations Board and California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing, among many others.

Mr. De Nardo relocated to the Chicago area in 2012.  Shortly after joining Jenner & Block in 2014, he began an overseas assignment based in Zurich, Switzerland.  Leveraging his employment law related background, Mr. De Nardo’s practice now primarily consists of the investigation and review of compliance programs, policies, and relevant corporate procedures, as well as the historical factual investigation of certain corporate practices and procedures juxtaposed with relevant, applicable law.

Mr. De Nardo is admitted to practice law in both California and Illinois. He is also a member of the Chicago Bar Association.
