Richard L. Stone is co-chair of the Antitrust and Competition Law Practice and is recognized as a leading trial lawyer, concentrating on antitrust, intellectual property, and complex commercial litigation with an emphasis on the media and entertainment industries. Mr. Stone’s experience extends to litigating antitrust, copyright, trademark, patent, piracy, securities, commercial fraud and related business tort cases. In addition to numerous jury trials, Mr. Stone’s experience includes representing clients in court-annexed and private arbitrations and in other alternative dispute resolution processes. In 2015, Mr. Stone received the prestigious California Lawyer “Attorney of the Year” award for his work in the high-stakes copyright battle against video streaming start-up Aereo Inc., winning a U.S. Supreme Court ruling in June 2014 on behalf of broadcasters.
