Reena Sikdar is an associate in the firm’s Investigations, Compliance and Defense Practice. She focuses on internal and government-initiated investigations in matters involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the False Claims Act and financial fraud.
Ms. Sikdar conducts investigations and compliance counseling for a broad range of industries both in the United States and abroad. She also represents clients in complex civil litigation. Ms. Sikdar maintains an active pro bono practice in which she has first chaired a merits hearing in Immigration Court, prepared for a homicide trial, represented an individual on death row, represented several individuals in state criminal court proceedings and drafted and negotiated a civil settlement in a large-scale civil rights action.
Ms. Sikdar received her J.D. in 2015 from Northwestern University School of Law, where she graduated cum laude and was elected to the Order of the Coif. Prior to joining Jenner & Block, Ms. Sikdar worked in both the for profit and nonprofit industries. Ms. Sikdar is the cofounder of the Manjie Sikdar Scholarship, a college scholarship for students with a passion for the performing arts. She currently serves on the Associate Board of Chicago Scholars and is also a mentor with the organization.
