Patricia Cruz Trabanino is an international dispute resolution lawyer in the firm’s International Arbitration Practice. She focuses her practice on the representation of sovereign States and State entities in investor-State disputes, commercial arbitrations and public international law matters. Ms. Cruz Trabanino also has experience representing sovereign States in US federal court proceedings and both sovereign and corporate clients in matters concerning international trade.
Ms. Cruz Trabanino has represented numerous clients in arbitrations conducted under the major arbitration rules pursuant to international investment agreements and contracts, particularly in cases involving concession contracts, extractive industries, infrastructure projects and public-private partnerships. She serves on the CPR Y-ADR Steering Committee, the leadership group for the Young Attorneys in Dispute Resolution program of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution.
Prior to joining Jenner & Block, Ms. Cruz Trabanino was an associate in the international arbitration and international trade departments of international law firms. In those roles, she focused on international investment arbitration and antidumping, countervailing duties, customs and trade compliance matters. Ms. Cruz Trabanino is a native Spanish speaker.
