Patricia Cruz Trabanino is an international dispute resolution lawyer in the firm’s International Arbitration, Public International Law, and Human Rights practice groups. She has extensive experience in investment treaty and international commercial arbitration, with special emphasis on disputes involving concession contracts, extractive industries, infrastructure projects and public-private partnerships.
Ms. Cruz Trabanino has acted as counsel in arbitrations conducted under the major arbitration rules, including ICSID, ICSID Additional Facility, UNCITRAL, and ICC. Ms. Cruz Trabanino also represents clients in arbitration-related US federal court proceedings and in matters concerning international trade. She has extensive experience assisting clients with the assessment of potential claims under international investment agreements.
Ms. Cruz Trabanino’s work spans multiple geographic regions, including Latin America, Europe, Africa, and the United States. She frequently publishes and speaks on topics in international arbitration, public international law, and human rights. She has been recognized by The Legal 500 United States in the field of international arbitration.
Ms. Cruz Trabanino maintains an active pro bono practice, representing clients in immigration proceedings.
Prior to joining Jenner & Block, Ms. Cruz Trabanino was an associate in the international arbitration and international trade departments of international law firms. In those roles, she focused on international investment arbitration and antidumping, countervailing duties, customs and trade compliance matters. Ms. Cruz Trabanino is a native Spanish speaker.
