Pamela A. Marino-Giagkou is a staff attorney in the firm’s Litigation Department.
Ms. Marino-Giagkou has considerable experience in cases involving regulatory, compliance and complex commercial litigation. She has participated in trial practice and preparation pertaining to securities, tax, product liability and intellectual property matters in addition to internal and governmental investigations arising under anti-trust and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Department of Justice (DOJ), Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Attorney General’s Office.
Prior to joining Jenner & Block, Ms. Marino-Giagkou was employed as in-house counsel at Abbott Laboratories, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association and General Electric Company. She later maintained an intellectual property private practice working with international corporations, advertising agencies and public relations firms focusing on both advertising and promotion of consumer retail products, pharmaceutical preparations, medical devices and healthcare services. She has extensive transactional experience in advertising, trademark prosecution, copyright, trade dress, consumer product branding, pharmaceutical nomenclature and entertainment related issues. She is an active member of the Lawyers for the Creative Arts counseling individual artists on a pro bono basis.
In addition, Ms. Marino-Giagkou participates in several professional and community organizations, including ChildServ, a child and family services organization, where she serves on the auxiliary board. She also acts as a volunteer member of CASA, a court-appointed special advocate, for at-risk children in juvenile court system.
