Maria del Carmen González is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Ms. González received her JD from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in 2020. While in law school, she served as the Deputy Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology and President of the Women’s Leadership Coalition. She also served as a student attorney for the Bluhm Legal Clinic’s Center on Wrongful Convictions.

Prior to attending law school, Ms. González worked in rural South Carolina first as a high school Spanish teacher and later as an instructional coach through the organization, Teach for America. Ms. González received her BA from the University of Florida in 2013. She graduated cum laude with a degree in English and Spanish.
