Lisa M. Schoedel is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and has extensive experience in patent litigation, and preparing and prosecuting patent applications. Her litigation has involved a wide variety of technologies including electronic circuits, telecommunications, consumer products, and software. Ms. Schoedel also works on cases involving CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Water Act, and the Clean Air Act, among other environmental matters.
Prior to joining Jenner & Block, Ms. Schoedel worked as an electronics engineer for McDonnell Douglas Corporation (now The Boeing Company) and as an environmental engineer for Shell Oil Company. She later worked at a patent boutique law firm and as in-house patent counsel for NAVTEQ North America, LLC.
Ms. Schoedel served as the Chair of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Women in Engineering Chicago Chapter from 2015-2017. She also speaks frequently to students thinking about STEM careers.
