Leah Song is an associate in the firm’s Environmental and Workplace Health & Safety Law Practice. She focuses on environmental, climate change and safety and health litigation and counseling, including advising clients on the environmental aspects of corporate transactions. She also counsels electric utilities in state regulatory proceedings, including gas and electric utility rate litigation, tariff revisions, and integration of renewables.

Ms. Song is a frequent contributor to the firm’s Corporate Environmental Lawyer, a blog that covers breaking environmental, health and safety issues of interest to the corporate counsel community.

Ms. Song received her BA in environmental studies from the University of Chicago in 2016, where she graduated with honors. She received her JD from the University of Chicago Law School in 2019.  During law school, she was a member of the Abrams Environmental Law Clinic.  Ms. Song was also acknowledged with Pro Bono Honors for completing over 250 hours of pro bono during law school.  Prior to joining Jenner & Block, Ms. Song completed a PILI Fellowship with Ascend Justice, formerly known as the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic. She currently serves as Chair of the Ascend Justice Young Professionals Board.
