Julia Kim Hirata is an associate in the Litigation Department.
Ms. Hirata received her JD from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law in 2020. While in law school, she served as a judicial extern to Judge Richard R. Clifton of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and as an editor for the Asian American Law Journal. She also participated in the East Bay Community Law Center’s Education Advocacy Clinic, representing public school students in Alameda County.
Ms. Hirata received her BA from Harvard College in 2014, graduating cum laude with high honors. Prior to law school, Ms. Hirata worked as a middle school teacher in her hometown of Honolulu, Hawaii, and served as a Fulbright Grantee in Jeonju, South Korea.
