Jonathan A. Enfield is an associate in Jenner & Block’s Chicago office. He is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department and its Complex Commercial Litigation and State Enforcement and Regulation practices. He represents clients in a range of high-stakes commercial disputes and matters relating to government investigations and litigation.
Mr. Enfield has represented clients in contract disputes, class actions, ERISA fiduciary breach actions, and general complex commercial litigation. He also has experience with monitorships, including monitorships involving large financial institutions. Mr. Enfield maintains an active pro bono practice that includes representing asylum seekers in immigration court.
Mr. Enfield is a member of the Illinois bar and is admitted to practice in the Seventh Circuit and in the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois, the Central District of Illinois, the Eastern District of Michigan, and the District of Columbia.
Prior to joining Jenner & Block in 2014, Mr. Enfield taught writing at the University of Southern California. He received his BA in English from the University of Virginia, where he graduated with Highest Distinction. He obtained his PhD in English from the University of Chicago and his JD from Harvard Law School.
