Jonathan A. Enfield is an associate in Jenner & Block’s Chicago office. He is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department and the following practices: Complex Commercial Litigation, State Enforcement and Regulation, and ERISA Litigation. He represents clients in a range of high-stakes commercial disputes and government investigations.
Mr. Enfield has represented clients in contract disputes, consumer class actions, ERISA fiduciary breach actions, and general complex commercial litigation. He also has experience with monitorships, including monitorships involving large financial institutions. Mr. Enfield maintains an active pro bono practice that includes representing asylum seekers in immigration court.
Mr. Enfield contributes to the firm’s ERISA Litigation Handbook. He is a member of the Illinois bar and is admitted to practice in the Seventh Circuit and in the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois, the Central District of Illinois, and the Eastern District of Michigan.
Prior to joining Jenner & Block in 2014, Mr. Enfield taught writing at the University of Southern California. Mr. Enfield received his B.A. in English from the University of Virginia, where he graduated with Highest Distinction. He obtained his Ph.D. in English from the University of Chicago and received his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
