Jennifer S. Senior is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department. Ms. Senior practices in complex civil litigation, concentrating on high-stakes contract disputes, securities law, class action defense, and insurance coverage litigation and counseling on behalf of policyholders. Ms. Senior also has experience with counseling clients regarding securities investigations and responding to shareholder demands for corporate books and records. Her insurance coverage work has focused on directors and officers liability, commercial general liability, property and business interruption insurance, specialty risk policies, construction-related disputes and policy renewals. Ms. Senior has represented clients in state and federal court, arbitrations and mediations.
In her pro bono practice, Ms. Senior counsels non-profit organizations on insurance coverage issues, and represents human trafficking victims seeking to recover unpaid wages, as well as prisoners seeking to enforce their constitutional rights. Ms. Senior has also represented victims of domestic violence seeking emergency and plenary orders of protection in the Domestic Violence Clinic of the Circuit Court of Cook County.
Ms. Senior is a delegate to The Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law. She is also an active member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Litigation, Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee.
Ms. Senior graduated from the University of Chicago Law School in 2010, where she served as an article editor of the University of Chicago Legal Forum and represented juveniles as a student attorney at the Edwin F. Mandel Legal Aid Clinic, Criminal and Juvenile Justice Project.
