Jennifer Beach is a special counsel in the firm’s Litigation Department. Ms. Beach has significant experience litigating complex matters in a number of substantive areas. She defends corporate clients in breach of fiduciary duty and other claims arising under ERISA, as well as cases alleging business torts, legal malpractice, and involving franchise law. She handles both individual and class action lawsuits, at the trial and appellate level, as well as during pre-suit counseling, mediation, and settlement negotiations.
Ms. Beach maintains a robust pro bono practice in the areas of family, immigration and criminal law. She regularly writes on ERISA litigation topics, and is a co-editor of the firm’s ERISA Litigation Handbook and a contributing author to PLI's ERISA Benefits Litigation Answer Book. Prior to joining Jenner & Block she served as a law clerk to Justice Patience Drake Roggensack on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. She remains active in her Chicago community, and served on the Advisory Board of Girls in the Game for four years.
Ms. Beach received her BA, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, in 2006 from Washington University in St. Louis. She received her JD, magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, in 2010 from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. During law school, she served as executive editor for the Washington University Law Review and as a teaching assistant for Legal Writing. Ms. Beach also received her Master of Social Work from the Washington University Brown School of Social Work in 2010.
