Jacquellena Carrero is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department.  She joined the firm in 2021.

Prior to joining Jenner & Block, Ms. Carrero clerked for the Honorable Margo K. Brodie of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.  Ms. Carrero received her JD from Columbia Law School in 2020.  At Columbia, she served as a Notes Editor for the Columbia Law Review and authored a student note exploring the intersection of the First Amendment and the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.  During law school, Ms. Carrero participated in the Mediation Clinic and mediated disputes proceeding in state court and before the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.  She also externed for the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University and worked as a research assistant for Professor Olatunde Johnson. 

Before attending law school, Ms. Carrero worked as a journalist for four years with NBC News and received a News & Documentary Emmy Award in 2015.
