Gina Reif Ilardi is a partner in the Content, Media & Entertainment Practice. Ms. Ilardi counsels motion picture and television studios, major brands, prominent website operators, cable, broadcast and out-of-home networks and advertising and marketing agencies. Her practice includes sports marketing, entertainment marketing, e-commerce and branded entertainment, preparing endorsement agreements and sponsorship agreements, implementing commercial co-venture campaigns, preparing and negotiating joint promotion alliances, and analyzing and licensing copyright, trademark, publicity and other intellectual property rights. She also has significant experience advising clients on motion picture distribution agreements, joint development agreements, television series development agreements and rights acquisition agreements, as well as book publishing, merchandising and other licensing agreements.
Ms. Ilardi’s practice includes counseling on the full spectrum of marketing issues, from sports and entertainment marketing to interactive marketing, e-commerce and branded entertainment. She advises clients in complying with state and federal anti-lottery and anti-gambling regulations governing on-line and off-line contest and sweepstakes promotions. Regarding online initiatives, Ms. Ilardi advises clients on issues arising under the various guild agreements and prepares content licensing agreements and website development agreements.
Ms. Ilardi also advises clients on the collection, storage, sharing (including cross-border sharing and transfer) and use of personal information and other data and represents clients in connection with compliance with the European Union Data Protection Directive.
In 2016, Variety named Ms. Ilardi to its list of “Hollywood’s New Leaders" as well as recognized her in its “Dealmakers Impact Report.” She also has been recognized in Variety’s “Legal Impact Report” of top lawyers in the entertainment business several times.
