Emily K. McWilliams is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department.
Emily McWilliams received a B.A. in philosophy in 2007 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. McWilliams graduated summa cum laude, served as the chair of the Associated Students of Madison, and was awarded a Letters and Science Senior Honors research grant to write a thesis in applied ethics. As a Clarendon International Scholar, McWilliams then received an M.S. in Comparative Social Policy at Oxford University in 2008. McWilliams received a J.D. from Northwestern Law School in 2014 and graduated cum laude. While at Northwestern Law, McWilliams served as a member of the Center on Wrongful Convictions and the Children and Family Justice Center. McWilliams is also a former Point Foundation Scholar and FASPE Fellow.
Prior to joining Jenner & Block, McWilliams worked as chief of staff to a leader in the Wisconsin State legislature, and coordinated policy research, legislative strategy, media relations and constituent services.
McWilliams serves as co-chair of the firm's LGBT Forum.
