Elin Park is a litigator. Her practice focuses on consumer litigation and class action. She is experienced in defending class action lawsuits, and litigating matters involving consumer protection statutes. In addition, Ms. Park has substantial experience representing financial services institutions. She has represented financial institutions in cases involving asset-backed securities, asset management and client investments, leveraged buyout, bankruptcy, and insurance coverage disputes. Ms. Park also handles government investigations for a broad range of industries.
Ms. Park has secured victories for her clients in federal and state courts across the country. A federal court has praised Ms. Park’s advocacy in the courtroom as "superlative." Ms. Park has experience co-chairing a trial, and she has represented corporations and individuals in lawsuits before the US Supreme Court, the Illinois Supreme Court, and other appellate courts.
Ms. Park has been recognized for her successful representations of pro bono clients with awards from the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and the Seventh Circuit Bar Association.
Ms. Park is the First Vice President of the Asian American Bar Association of Greater Chicago, and after serving a term as the First Vice President, she will serve a term as the President. Ms. Park is also a Vice President of the Korean American Bar Association of Chicago. In addition, Ms. Park is a member of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
Ms. Park completed a fellowship at the Institute for Justice Clinic on Entrepreneurship, where she advocated for the interests of Chicago businesses by negotiating contracts and advising on regulatory issues. Ms. Park earned her JD from the University of Chicago Law School and her BS in economics from Duke University, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
