Douglas E. Litvack is co-chair of the firm’s Antitrust and Competition Law Practice. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in complex antitrust litigation and appeals as well as companies involved in government investigations. Mr. Litvack also advises clients on the antitrust aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
Mr. Litvack has broad experience in both trial and appellate courts, and has tried cases all over the country. Mr. Litvack is an experienced advocate that advises clients in a wide range of industries – including healthcare, life sciences, technology, consumer products, financial services, and aerospace and defense – on all aspects of antitrust.
Before entering private practice, Mr. Litvack served at the Federal Trade Commission, where he played a central role in several antitrust investigations and high-profile litigations.
While serving in the FTC, Mr. Litvack was twice awarded its Janet D. Steiger Award for his outstanding contributions in key litigations, as well as its Stephen Nye Award – the FTC’s highest award given to junior attorneys.
Mr. Litvack received his JD at Georgetown University Law Center, cum laude, and was the recipient of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Student Advocacy Award. He received his BA in economics at Colgate University.
