Christina T. Lopez is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department. Ms. Lopez works with a range of large corporate clients on varied matters including domestic and international arbitrations. Her pro-bono practice includes assisting underprivileged clients with asylum applications and defending the public and media’s right of access to court records and filings.
Ms. Lopez maintained an active profile during law school. She served as co-president of the Diversity Coalition; as a senior advisor of the law school’s peer-to-peer mentorship program; and as a student lawyer in the Supreme Court Clinic, an arm of the Bluhm Legal Clinic’s Appellate Advocacy Center. She also received the Harold Washington Leadership Award for significant contributions to the law school made by a second year student.
Prior to law school, Ms. Lopez earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology, summa cum laude, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2014. Following college, she worked as an assistant manager and styling expert at an international fashion retailer in the Chicagoland area.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Lopez served as a Public Interest Law Initiative fellow with the American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois.
