Charlotte L. Wager is the firm’s Chief Talent and Strategy Officer with responsibility for the development of people and execution of strategy across the firm. Her experience co-leading the Hiring Executive Committee is leveraged as she advances key initiatives related to the firm’s growth and values-based culture. Ms. Wager previously directed associate evaluation, talent development, and lateral partner hiring firmwide. She works with firm leaders on all aspects of practice development including market assessment, innovation, and financial performance.
Ms. Wager has deep experience designing strategic programs to mentor lawyers at all stages of their career, coach next generation leaders of the firm, and train litigation teams for success in the courtroom. She is an active member of the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Women’s Forum, and Pro Bono Committees. Ms. Wager’s law practice previously focused on counseling policyholders and reinsurers on a wide range of insurance-related matters.
Ms. Wager has been a featured speaker on subjects relating to hiring, development and diversity and inclusion at programs sponsored by the American Bar Association, the Practising Law Institute, the Illinois State Bar Association, and numerous law schools. She is a former past president and longstanding member of NALP (The National Association of Law Placement). She is an avid runner, who has completed eight marathons.
