Chad T. Nicholson has experience across a wide range of practice groups, focusing his practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate and private equity.
As a member of the Firm’s Corporate Practice, he has experience in private equity fund formation, mergers and acquisitions across numerous industries, securities matters, corporate finance, business organization, and some tax. Mr. Nicholson has previously worked in litigation on cases involving tax disputes, international business transactions, environmental investigations and other commercial disputes. He has managed teams of attorneys to complete document review while interfacing between various third party vendors and the litigation team.
Mr. Nicholson devotes significant time to pro bono matters, including incorporation and tax-exemption of 501(c)(3) organizations. In law school, he received a Departmental Award for Outstanding Leadership in Public Interest and Pro Bono Activities. Prior to joining Jenner & Block, Mr. Nicholson had experience in international human rights and economic development in Latin America, and also provided research and writing support to the Illinois Reform Commission in the drafting of its “100-Day Report.”
