Ari Kanavy is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department. She joined the firm in 2020.

Ms. Kanavy received her JD from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law in 2020, where she served as an associate editor of the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology. While in law school, Ms. Kanavy was actively involved in clinical work. Through the Bluhm Legal Clinic, Ms. Kanavy worked on behalf of clients, both adult and juvenile, at various stages in civil and criminal proceedings; with the Center on Wrongful Convictions, she worked on behalf of individuals pursuing claims of innocence. Ms. Kanavy also volunteered at the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic, where she helped to secure emergency orders of protection for victims of domestic violence.

Prior to law school, Ms. Kanavy worked as a graphic designer. After obtaining her BA in jurisprudence from the California University of Pennsylvania, she worked in the marketing department at a large law firm.
