Anna J. Mitran is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department.
Ms. Mitran is admitted to practice in Illinois and has litigation experience in arbitration, class-action, and complex-commercial matters. Ms. Mitran also has an active pro bono practice, where she has experience litigating prisoners’ rights matters and representing asylum seekers. Her pro bono efforts earned her an Award for Excellence in Pro Bono Service from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 2018.
Prior to joining Jenner & Block, Ms. Mitran served as a law clerk in the Office of the Illinois Attorney General. Ms. Mitran received her J.D. from Cornell Law School in 2016, graduating cum laude. While attending law school, she was an articles editor for the Cornell Law Review and a participant in the Advocacy for LGBT Communities Clinic. Ms. Mitran received her B.A. from Harvard University.
