Anna W. Margasinska concentrates in complex civil litigation focusing on legal malpractice and securities litigation. Ms. Margasinska’s professional responsibility practice includes defending lawyers and law firms in pending or threatened legal malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty, and aiding and abetting matters. Ms. Margasinska has represented clients in major contract disputes, shareholder derivative claims, securities litigation, business torts, and other matters. She is a staff attorney in the Litigation Department and is a member of the Professional Responsibility, Class Action, and Trust & Estate Litigation Practices.

In addition to her private practice, Ms. Margasinska is dedicated to helping those in need of legal services through pro bono work and has focused her pro bono efforts on criminal defense matters, including her longtime representation of a client on death row.

Ms. Margasinska graduated, summa cum laude, from the University of Warsaw Faculty of Law and Administration in 2003, receiving a Master of Law degree. She received her LL.M. in Comparative Law summa cum laude in 2004 from the University of Florida. She earned her Juris Doctor from University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2008, graduating magna cum laude. Ms. Margasinska graduated in the top 5% of her class. She received awards for the highest grade in her Torts, Professional Responsibility, and Taxation of Gratuitous Transfers classes.
