Andrew S. Carlins joined the firm as an associate in 2016. His practice areas include real estate and corporate law.

Mr. Carlins has experience in a variety of real estate and corporate legal matters, from pro-bono needs to large corporate transactions. He has contributed his efforts to many recent high profile mergers and acquisitions including: United Rentals acquisition of NES Rentals for $965 million in January, 2017, Schneider Electric acquisition of Asco Power Technologies for $1.25 billion in July, 2017, and Campbell Soup’s acquisition of Snyder’s Lance for $4.87 billion in March, 2018.

Mr. Carlins received his dual-degree JD/MBA from the Washington University in St. Louis School of Law and Olin Business School in 2016. While in law school, Mr. Carlins contributed as a staff editor on the Washington University Jurisprudence Review. He received his B.A. from Lafayette College in 2011, majoring in Philosophy and Economics.

Prior to joining Jenner & Block, Mr. Carlins began his early real estate career as an associate at Magellan Development. He has prior corporate transactional experience working as a legal intern for the Metals Service Center Institute and before attending law school, Mr. Carlins worked in corporate litigation as a legal consultant for the Chicago Winter Company.
