Amy M. Gallegos litigates complex commercial disputes in trial and appellate courts nationwide. Her practice focuses on developing strategies for managing and defending class actions. She has significant experience in the financial service and consumer credit industries, and has defended clients in class actions involving the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and various state consumer protection laws.
Ms. Gallegos is also experienced in intellectual property litigation. She represents content owners in copyright infringement cases involving new technologies and advanced media, and has experience trying patent cases and representing clients before the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. She is also well-versed in Internet law, licensing and issues affecting the broadcast television industry.
Ms. Gallegos is recognized in Variety's 2015 "Legal Impact Report," a listing of the top lawyers in the entertainment industry, and one of just 26 litigators selected. She is also recognized in the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal’s 2015 list of the state’s “Top IP Litigators.”
Prior to joining Jenner & Block, Ms. Gallegos was a partner at a large international law firm. During law school, she served as an editor of the UCLA Law Review.
