Adam Caldwell is a department counsel in the firm’s Litigation Department.  He joined the firm in 2009 and has experience in securities law and derivative suits. 

Adam graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington, in 2001, receiving a BA in English (with honors) and Religious Studies. He earned his MTS from Harvard Divinity School in 2003 and his JD from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2009, graduating  cum laude.  While attending law school, Adam was awarded the 1st Place Scholarship for Excellence in Academics and Community Involvement by the Puerto Rican Bar Association. 

Adam maintains an active pro bono practice covering civil rights and asylum matters. He recently represented a Coptic man from Egypt in his successful attempt to gain asylum based on religious persecution. Prior to joining Jenner & Block, Adam completed a PILI Fellowship at the Alliance for the Great Lakes. During his fellowship, he aided in drafting a comment that helped to secure dioxin monitoring at a Toledo refinery. In the summer of 2007, Adam served as a law clerk at the FDA’s Office of Compliance as a member of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities Internship Program.
