On March 26, 2020, Jenner & Block reported on the new status quo in the state and federal courts in New York in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The article described how litigants in New York courts must adjust to significant delays in ongoing litigation and the increased use of remote proceedings. In New York state court, the court suspended all electronic filings in “nonessential” matters and restricted the ability to open a new matter to those deemed “essential.” That client alert is available here.
