In this column, Jenner & Block Partner David P. Saunders and Department Counsel Allison N. Glover observe that there is a risk of 50 different “comprehensive” and conflicting privacy regimes within the United States.  Yet, at the end of 2019, three federal privacy bills were circulated in Congress.  The authors highlight similarities and differences among the bills, concluding that “the issues left to debate are narrowing, and that is a positive sign for businesses and consumers.”
