In this article, Jenner & Block Partners Nancy C. Libin and Damon Y. Smith and Special Counsel Heidi L. Wachs examine two recent regulatory proposals aimed at addressing cybersecurity in the financial sector.  The authors describe the competing approaches – one by the New York Department of Financial Services and the other by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.  The article is the latest installment of the regular Privacy and Information Governance (PIG) Tales column in the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal.
