Tarloff examine best practices when it comes to information sharing between insurers and policyholders.   The authors explain that, once a policyholder tenders a claim, an insurer is likely to request information and documentation about the underlying event.  They caution, however, that the insured may have legitimate concerns about sharing such information.  They discuss how insurers and insureds should approach information sharing under various scenarios.
