Law360 reprinted an article that Jenner & Block Partners Julie M. Carpenter and Lindsay C. Harrison wrote for the firm’s Hospitality and Gaming Legal Review 2015.  Titled “Early Termination of Hotel Management Contracts Is Costly,” the article examines the implications when a hotel owner tries to break a long-term management contract prematurely.  The authors caution that doing so can be costly to the owner, observing that “case study after case study reveals an expensive and lengthy process that benefits the owners’ lawyers more than the owners themselves.”
