In this article, Partner Steven R. Trybus examines a case relating to Rule 8.4(e) of the Model Rules of Professional Conduct.  Steven explores a case in which a lawyer was reprimanded after forwarding a complimentary email from a chief judge to existing and prospective clients.  He analyzes the matter and its implications, concluding that a lawyer who receives a similar email should “simply reply to the chief judge thanking him for letting you know that the judges have such a favorable impression of your work.”
