In this article, Jenner & Block Partner Christian R. Bartholomew and Associate J. Douglas Wilson examine the annual report from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Office of the Whistleblower.  The authors explain that the report indicates the Dodd-Frank Whistleblower Program is growing in terms of the size and number of awards made and the number of whistleblower tips received.  They observe that this year’s report, in a departure from past reports, is “quite transparent” in profiling the 14 individuals who have received awards to date.  The authors analyze the report’s findings and offer their insights on key points.
