In this article, Jenner & Block Partner Kenneth K. Lee explores the surge in suspect consumer class action lawsuits in California.  Ken observes that California judges are taking a more skeptical view of such lawsuits, often willing to dismiss dubious matters at the pleading stage.  He reviews several questionable consumer class action lawsuits and argues that “federal judges should and must serve as guardians against junk class action lawsuits.”
