In a follow-up to their recent article published in Communications Lawyer, Jenner & Block Partner Mary Ellen Callahan and Associates Michael T. Borgia, David M. Didion and Sabrina N. Guenther examine another recent shift in the mobile privacy landscape—the development of three self-regulatory codes on mobile data collection and use.  Although these new codes add yet more layers to the existing patchwork landscape of mobile privacy laws and standards, they also signal the possible development of an industry standard on several points, including the necessity of tailored privacy disclosures on top of the standard long-form privacy policy.
