In this article, Jenner & Block Partner Mary Ellen Callahan and Associates Michael T. Borgia, David M. Didion and Sabrina N. Guenther examine recent federal and state initiatives to define consumers’ privacy rights when they use mobile devices.  The authors explain that various state and federal agencies have similar goals in determining mobile privacy standards.  Yet, without a comprehensive nationwide framework, their efforts have emerged in a patchwork binding and nonbinding forms.  The authors review the recent initiatives and analyze what companies and industries nationwide should know about them
