Jenner & Block sponsored the first annual Chicago Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA) Racial Justice Panel at Northwestern University School of Law. The panel presentation, entitled, "The Legacy of Korematsu: The Wen Ho Lee Case," focused on racial profiling and featured several distinguished panelists, including Alberta Lee, daughter of Wen Ho Lee, the Taiwan-born U.S. citizen suspected of transmitting top secret information regarding the U.S.'s nuclear program to foreign governments. Jenner & Block Partner Anton Valukas, a Northwestern University School of Law alumnus and former U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, gave the opening remarks. The presentation was hosted by Northwestern University School of Law Diversity Coalition and the APALSA chapters of DePaul College of Law, the University of Chicago Law School, and the Northwestern University School of Law.
