A Jenner & Block trial team recently won a London-based arbitration for its client, a major manufacturer of polymers, obtaining a recovery of the full policy limits plus millions more in pre-judgment and post-judgment interest. Lead trial counsel, Partner Lorelie S. Masters, and her trial team convinced the three-member panel, chaired by a member of England’s House of Lords, that Jenner & Block’s client should receive the full $75 million of the insurance policy at issue. The Tribunal rejected the insurance company's argument that the policy was void because of alleged misrepresentations and various other contentions about the interpretation of the disputed policy language.
In addition to Ms. Masters, the Firm’s trial team included Partner Christopher C. Dickinson and Associates Nicole G. Berner, Darren H. Lubetzky, James A. Trilling, and Imad D. Abyad.
