The 2003 edition of the influential treatise, Securities Law, published by Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education, was recently authored by a selected group of leading securities law practitioners, including those from Jenner & Block: Jerry J. Burgdoerfer, J. Kevin McCall, Avidan J. Stern, Howard S. Suskin, James L. Thompson and Edward G. Quinlisk. The authors’ updates provide cutting-edge practice guidance on a range of securities law topics, including transactional and litigation issues, as well as issues arising from the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
In addition to serving as a General Editor of the two-volume set, Mr. Burgdoerfer co-authored the treatise’s introduction and chapter on “Corporate Communications.” Mr. Quinlisk also was a co-author on the “Corporate Communications” chapter. Messrs. McCall, Stern and Thompson authored the chapter “Private Litigation Under The Investment Company Act of 1940.” And, Mr. Suskin co-authored the chapter discussing “Civil Liabilities and Remedies.”
