On July 7th, General Dynamics completed its acquisition of the Scranton, Pennsylvania division of Chamberlain Manufacturing Corporation, a subsidiary of Duchossois Industries, Inc. Jenner & Block represented General Dynamics in the transaction, the terms of which have not been disclosed.
The target business, to be known as General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems - Scranton Operations, is a leading supplier of large-caliber projectile metal parts to the U.S. government. The 400-employee operation will become part of the Large Caliber Ammunition strategic business unit of General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems.
General Dynamics, headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia, employs approximately 72,700 people worldwide and is a market leader in mission-critical information systems and technologies; land and expeditionary combat systems, armaments and munitions; shipbuilding and marine systems; and business aviation.
Duchossois Industries, Inc. is a privately held company headquartered in Elmhurst, Illinois.
