Law students and lateral associates had the opportunity to meet and interview with representatives from law firms and other legal employers and to learn about career management topics at the Vault and Minority Corporate Counsel Association’s (MCCA) Diversity Job Fair held in New York City on April 21-22. The firm was the major sponsor of the event.

The Job Fair kicked off with a networking reception where Partners Andrew H. Bart, Ronald M. Daignault, Reginald J. Hill, Gianni P. Servodidio, Donald B. Verrilli, Jr. and Charlotte L. Wager and Associates Richard H. An, Carletta F. Higginson and Elizabeth Valentina represented the firm.

The second day of the Job Fair included keynote speakers, panel discussions and individual meetings with potential employers. Mr. Verrilli introduced the morning keynote speaker, Michelle Coleman Mayes, Senior Vice-President and General Counsel of Pitney Bowes and winner of the MCCA's Trailblazer Award, which honors attorneys who have made extraordinary efforts to promote diversity in their corporate law department and the profession. Mr. Verrilli serves on the firm’s Policy Committee and is chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee.

Ms. Wager spoke on a panel discussion entitled, "Tips for a Successful Summer Associate Experience: Managing Your Career Once You Are in the Door," which highlighted issues often confronted by summer associates during this important early stage of their professional development.  Ms. Wager is the chief talent officer at Jenner & Block and chairs the firm's Associate Development and Evaluation Committee and Associates Training Committee. In addition, she is co-chair of the firm's Hiring Committee.
