Kellogg Company, a Jenner & Block client, was a recipient of the Minority Corporate Counsel Association’s 2005 Employer of Choice Awards during the organization’s gala Diversity Dinner held last night at Chicago Marriott Downtown.
The coveted award is designed to spotlight industry leaders who have a commitment to, and succeed at, creating and maintaining an inclusive corporate legal department. Aon Corporation and Tribune Company were also recipients of the award.
Gary H. Pilnick, Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Development & Secretary, accepted the award on behalf of Kellogg. Mr. Pilnick is a former Jenner & Block attorney.
Addressing the diverse crowd of 900 professionals, Veta Richardson, Executive Director of MCCA, called on those present to continue to “encourage inclusion, remove barriers” to diversity.
The evening’s event took place on the first day of the MCCA’s CLE Expo, of which Jenner & Block is the Premier Sponsor for the fourth year in a row.
